Wicked is a large-scale touring production of the hit musical that tells the untold story of the witches of Oz, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The tour plays at the Boston Opera House in Boston, presenting the show's spectacle—lavish sets, effects, costumes and a memorable score—on a national stage. Wicked is notable for reframing The Wizard of Oz from the witches’ perspective and for its long-running popularity on Broadway and on tour.
