About This Event

Unfinished takes its name from a series of unfinished portraits by Carolyn Shasha of individuals who passed away from COVID-19 (taken from the New York Times COVID obituary series). Juxtaposed with abstract watercolor paintings they represent the human life tragically cut short. Rebirth, the second half of this exhibition by Tereza Swanda, examines a continuum reconsidering death. Swanda pushes the boundaries of drawing to trace the action of being alive and contemplates our interconnection.
